The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70240 is a Dash 240 O-ring made from Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) rubber with a round cross section. It measures 3.75 inches inside diameter, 4 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick. The durometer rating is 70, placing it in the hard hardness range. EPDM compound provides strong resistance to hot water, steam, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and is also rated for Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, hydraulic system mechanics, and industrial maintenance professionals install this O-ring as a static or dynamic seal in a wide range of fluid-handling applications.
This O-ring is suited for use in hot water systems, steam service, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluid circuits. The EPDM material performs across a temperature range of -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F, making it a reliable choice in both low-temperature startup conditions and sustained high-temperature operation. It is commonly used in plumbing, HVAC hydronic piping, and industrial hydraulic assemblies where compatibility with steam or phosphate ester fluids is required. This item is packaged in a quantity of 10 per package.
Compatible with systems handling hot water, steam, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluids, including commercial aircraft hydraulic systems that use Skydrol fluids. Designed as a standard Dash 240 replacement O-ring for any application requiring that cross-reference size in EPDM compound.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified hydraulic systems mechanic depending on the application. Before replacing an O-ring, fully depressurize the system and allow all fluids and surfaces to cool to a safe handling temperature. Inspect the mating groove and seating surface for wear, scoring, or debris before seating the new O-ring. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants with EPDM O-rings; use only lubricants rated compatible with EPDM compound.
