The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70144 is a Dash 144 EPDM O-ring with a round cross section, designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in plumbing, HVAC, and hydraulic systems. Molded from ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber at 70 Shore A hardness, it delivers reliable sealing across a wide temperature range of -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F. The inside diameter measures 2.5 inches, the outside diameter measures 2.688 inches, and the wall thickness is 0.0937 inches (3/32 inches). Licensed plumbers, HVAC techs, and mechanical contractors install this ring where hot water, steam, or phosphate ester hydraulic fluid service is required.
This O-ring is well suited for residential and commercial hot water systems, steam distribution lines, and phosphate ester type hydraulic circuits. It also carries recognized resistance to Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems, making it relevant to aviation ground-support and MRO applications. The black EPDM compound is compatible with hot water and steam service where nitrile or neoprene compounds would degrade. It is not recommended for petroleum-based oils or fuels. Each package contains 35 rings with a minimum order quantity of 1 package.
Compatible with hot water, steam, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluid systems. Suitable as a Dash 144 standard O-ring replacement in plumbing valves, fittings, and hydraulic components requiring an EPDM seal.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified mechanic following applicable IPC or system-specific service procedures. Shut off and depressurize the system and allow it to cool before removing the existing seal. Inspect the groove for burrs or damage before seating the new O-ring. Do not stretch or twist the ring during installation, and avoid using petroleum-based lubricants, which will degrade EPDM material.
