The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70123 is a Dash 123 EPDM O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in fluid handling, hydraulic, and steam systems. Made from Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) compound with a 70 Shore A hardness rating, this O-ring delivers reliable sealing across a wide service temperature range of -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F. The round cross section measures 0.094 inches thick, with a 1.188-inch inside diameter and a 1.375-inch outside diameter. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians typically specify EPDM for its resistance to hot water, steam, and phosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids. Each package contains 25 O-rings.
This O-ring is well suited for plumbing systems, HVAC hydronic circuits, steam lines, and commercial aircraft hydraulic systems that use Skydrol-type fluids. EPDM compound is the preferred material choice where hot water and steam exposure would degrade nitrile or neoprene compounds. Its hard durometer rating makes it appropriate for moderate-pressure applications requiring shape retention under compression. Typical install scenarios include valve stem seals, pump housings, pipe unions, and hydraulic manifold ports in both residential and light commercial service environments.
Compatible with hot water, steam, and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluid systems. Not FDA approved. Designed as an OEM-style replacement O-ring for any application requiring a Dash 123 round cross section EPDM seal.
O-ring installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or hydraulic systems technician as appropriate to the application. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing any sealing components. Inspect the O-ring groove for burrs, nicks, or corrosion before seating the new O-ring; damaged groove surfaces will compromise the seal regardless of O-ring condition. Avoid twisting or rolling the O-ring during installation, and use only a compatible lubricant rated for EPDM material and the service fluid involved.
