The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCE70017 is a Dash 017 EPDM O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in fluid systems. Measuring 0.688 inches inside diameter, 0.813 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick, this round cross-section ring provides reliable sealing across a broad service temperature range of -65 degrees F to 300 degrees F. The ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) compound delivers strong resistance to hot water, steam, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, certain acids, alkalies, and ozone. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals install this size regularly in valve, fitting, and pump assemblies.
This O-ring suits residential and commercial plumbing, hydronic heating systems, and hydraulic fluid circuits that handle hot water or steam service. The EPDM compound is also noted for excellent resistance to Skydrol fluids used in commercial aircraft hydraulic systems, making it appropriate for aerospace maintenance applications as well. Packaged in quantities of 50 per bag, the ZMSCE70017 is a practical stock item for service vehicles and shop inventory. Its hardness rating of 70 Shore A provides a firm but compressible seal suitable for most standard groove dimensions in the Dash 017 size class.
Designed as a standard Dash 017 O-ring replacement for plumbing valves, hydronic fittings, pump seals, and hydraulic assemblies requiring an EPDM compound compatible with hot water, steam, or phosphate ester fluids.
Plumbers and HVAC technicians should relieve system pressure and drain or isolate the line before replacing O-rings in pressurized assemblies. Lightly lubricating the O-ring with a compatible grease or fluid during installation helps seat it evenly and reduces the risk of tearing during assembly. Verify groove dimensions match the Dash 017 cross-section and diameter specifications before installation. Work follows applicable sections of the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or International Mechanical Code as required by local jurisdiction.
