The VALUE COLLECTION ZBD9500-217 is a Dash 217 Viton O-ring with a round cross section, designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in fluid and gas systems. With an inside diameter of 1.19 inches, an outside diameter of 1.44 inches, and a thickness of 0.125 inches, this O-ring provides a reliable compression seal in grooved fittings and housings. Viton (fluoroelastomer) construction gives it strong resistance to oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids, and a wide range of chemicals. It carries a hardness rating of 75 Shore A, placing it in the hard durometer range. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial mechanics routinely install Dash 217 O-rings in pumps, valves, compressors, and manifold connections.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial applications where elevated operating temperatures or chemical exposure would degrade standard nitrile or EPDM seals. Viton material supports a working temperature range of -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F, making it a common choice for high-heat HVAC refrigerant components, fuel-handling assemblies, and hydraulic circuits. The round cross section fits standard AN and industry-spec Dash 217 O-ring grooves without modification. Minimum order quantity is 25 pieces; packaging unit is 1 piece.
Designed as a standard Dash 217 O-ring replacement for any fitting, valve, pump, or housing machined to AN or industry-standard Dash 217 O-ring groove specifications.
Power down or de-energize the system and relieve all fluid or gas pressure before removing the existing O-ring. Clean the groove thoroughly and inspect for burrs or corrosion that could damage the new seal. Apply a thin film of compatible lubricant to the O-ring before seating to prevent twisting and pinching during assembly. Follow applicable codes such as IPC or IFGC for plumbing and gas applications, and verify chemical compatibility with the media being sealed before installation.
