The VALUE COLLECTION ZBD16300-8 is a nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) O-ring with a round cross section designed for static and dynamic sealing applications across plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Rated at a 90 Shore A hardness (extra hard), this O-ring is built for higher-pressure environments where a firmer seal is required. It handles a working temperature range of -40 degrees F to 275 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide variety of fluid and gas sealing tasks encountered in trade service work. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors regularly use NBR O-rings as replacement seals in valves, fittings, pumps, and manifolds.
This O-ring is appropriate for use in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant-adjacent fittings, hydraulic assemblies, and general industrial equipment. Its nitrile butadiene rubber construction offers good resistance to petroleum-based oils, fuels, and many common service fluids. It is not FDA approved, so it should not be used in potable water or food-contact applications where food-grade or NSF-listed materials are required. Technicians should verify dimensional compatibility with the mating groove before installation.
Designed as a standard-profile NBR O-ring replacement for use in valves, fittings, pumps, and mechanical assemblies requiring a round cross section seal. Verify groove dimensions against part specifications before installation.
O-ring installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, HVAC technician, or mechanical contractor familiar with the host assembly. Depressurize and de-energize the system fully before removing the old seal. Inspect the mating groove and sealing surfaces for nicks, scoring, or debris before installing the replacement O-ring. Avoid twisting or overstretching the O-ring during installation, as this can cause premature seal failure.
