The VALUE COLLECTION XM01D1427 is a worm gear clamp rated SAE Size 10, designed to secure hose and tubing connections in plumbing, HVAC, automotive, and general mechanical applications. The clamp features a stainless steel band that is 5/16 inches wide and adjusts to fit hose or fitting outside diameters ranging from 0.5 inches to 1.0625 inches. The band and hardware are constructed from Grade 201 stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance in wet and exposed service environments. A worm drive mechanism allows for precise torque-down using a standard screwdriver or hex driver, making installation fast and repeatable in tight spaces.
This clamp is suited for residential and light commercial installations where hose-to-barb or hose-to-fitting joints must be mechanically secured. Typical applications include coolant hoses, drain connections, flexible conduit fittings, pool and spa plumbing, and low-pressure fluid lines. The compact SAE 10 sizing makes it appropriate for small-diameter tubing common in both field service and shop fabrication work. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pool service professionals will find this clamp useful across a range of routine service calls.
Designed as a general-purpose OEM-style worm gear clamp for hose and tubing with outside diameters between 0.5 inches and 1.0625 inches across plumbing, HVAC, pool, and mechanical service applications.
Power down or shut off fluid flow to the system before replacing or installing any hose clamp. Seat the clamp over the hose before sliding the hose onto the fitting, then position the clamp at least 1/4 inch from the end of the hose for proper bite. Tighten the worm screw with a flat-blade screwdriver or hex driver until snug — do not over-torque, as excessive force can cut through the hose material. Inspect the connection for leaks after restoring flow or pressure to the system.
