The VALUE COLLECTION WS-MH-WIRE-156 is a 3/8-inch diameter aircraft cable constructed from grade 316 stainless steel with a 7x19 strand core configuration. This cable is sold and priced in 1-foot increments from a 1,000-foot total coil, making it practical for job-site cutting to length. With an 11,000-pound breaking strength, it is built for demanding rigging, tensioning, and support applications. The uncoated stainless steel finish resists corrosion in wet and marine environments. Riggers, marine contractors, industrial maintenance crews, and commercial construction trades are the typical end users for this wire rope specification.
This aircraft cable is suited for overhead rigging, safety cables, wire rope assemblies, tension support systems, and architectural cable applications in both indoor and outdoor settings. The 316 stainless steel material grade makes it especially appropriate for coastal, marine, and chemical-exposure environments where 304-grade cable may be insufficient. The 7x19 strand core construction provides flexibility relative to solid or 7x7 configurations, making it easier to route around sheaves, pulleys, and end fittings. Minimum order quantity is 25 feet.
Designed for use with standard 3/8-inch aircraft cable end fittings, swage terminals, wire rope clamps, and thimbles rated for 7x19 strand construction.
Installation should be performed by a qualified rigger or tradesperson familiar with wire rope assemblies and applicable ASME B30 or OSHA rigging standards. Always verify that end fittings, clamps, and termination hardware are rated to match or exceed the cable breaking strength before placing the assembly in service. Cut cable ends should be seized or swaged promptly to prevent strand unraveling. Never use this cable in applications exceeding its rated breaking strength or in dynamic shock-load conditions without applying an appropriate safety factor.
