The VALUE COLLECTION TNUTI0370-100BX is a zinc-plated steel tee nut with a 3/8-16 thread size, designed for use in wood, particleboard, and composite panel assemblies. The tee nut installs from the back face of the workpiece, allowing a bolt or machine screw to thread in from the front for a flush, captive connection. The 7/16-inch barrel length provides adequate thread engagement for standard panel thicknesses, while the 1-inch flanged base distributes load across the surface. Three prongs bite into the substrate to prevent rotation during assembly. Zinc plating provides basic corrosion resistance suitable for indoor and light-duty applications. This box contains 100 pieces.
These tee nuts are used in furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, woodworking jigs, and panel assemblies where a threaded insert is needed in a non-metallic substrate. Common applications include knock-down furniture hardware, equipment mounting rails, and fixture assembly where a reusable threaded connection is required in wood or composite material. The 3/8-16 thread is a standard coarse-thread designation compatible with widely available bolts and machine screws of the same specification.
Designed as a standard tee nut for use in wood, particleboard, and composite substrates requiring a 3/8-16 threaded insert. Compatible with any 3/8-16 bolt or machine screw.
Tee nuts are typically installed by woodworkers, finish carpenters, and assembly technicians using a mallet, arbor press, or clamp to seat the flange flush against the substrate. Drill a clean through-hole sized to match the barrel outer diameter before installation to avoid splitting the workpiece. Ensure prongs are fully embedded to prevent spin-out under load. Do not overtighten mating fasteners in soft substrates, as this can pull the tee nut through the panel face.
