The VALUE COLLECTION TNMG110308NSC30 is a solid carbide, uncoated turning insert designed for use in CNC and manual lathe operations. Conforming to ANSI insert code TNMG222 and ISO insert code TNMG110308, this neutral-hand insert features a 60-degree triangular shape with a 0-degree relief angle and a negative side clearance. The inscribed circle measures 1/4 inch (0.250 inch decimal), the corner radius is 1/32 inch (0.0315 inch decimal), and the insert thickness is 1/8 inch (0.125 inch decimal). Manufacturer grade I55 with a G-style chip breaker suits it for steel and general-purpose turning applications in both production and job-shop environments.
This insert is intended for turning operations on ferrous workpiece materials, particularly steel, as indicated by primary workpiece material code P and material grades C5 and C6. It fits standard TNMG-style toolholders that accept the 222 ANSI size code and 110308 ISO size code. Typical applications include external turning, facing, and light profiling passes on a CNC lathe or turret. The neutral hand orientation allows use in either right-hand or left-hand toolholder seats. Installation requires a compatible clamp-and-pin holding method as specified by the insert geometry.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard TNMG222 (ANSI) or TNMG110308 (ISO) turning insert seats using clamp-and-pin holding systems. Verify toolholder insert pocket dimensions and holding method before installation.
Turning inserts of this type are installed and indexed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or indexing any insert. Use the correct torque wrench or insert clamp tool specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the clamp screw — do not overtighten by hand. Inspect the insert pocket for debris or damage before seating a new insert, as contamination can cause insert rocking and premature edge failure.
