The VALUE COLLECTION TEV80215 is a Dash 215 O-ring with a polytetrafluoroethylene-encapsulated Viton core, designed for demanding fluid and gas sealing applications across HVAC, plumbing, and industrial systems. It measures 1.063 inches inner diameter by 1.313 inches outer diameter with a 0.125-inch cross-section thickness. The round cross-section profile seats uniformly in standard O-ring grooves. Construction combines a seamless, uniform FEP-PTFE outer encapsulation with an inner core of Viton elastomer, delivering the chemical resistance of solid PTFE alongside the elasticity and compression recovery of Viton. The hardness rating is 80 Shore A. Rated for service from -75 degrees F to 400 degrees F, this O-ring handles elevated temperatures and chemically aggressive media that would degrade standard nitrile or EPDM seals.
This O-ring is suited for use in plumbing shutoff valves, HVAC refrigerant service connections, chemical fluid lines, and pumping equipment where exposure to solvents, acids, fuels, or high-temperature steam is a concern. It is a common replacement seal in industrial valves, fittings, and pump heads requiring a PTFE-encapsulated solution. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals install this part during valve rebuilds, pump servicing, and fitting replacements where standard elastomer O-rings are not chemically compatible with the process fluid.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement O-ring for applications requiring a Dash 215 PTFE-encapsulated Viton seal in valves, fittings, pumps, and fluid handling equipment.
Installation is performed by qualified plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial maintenance personnel. Depressurize and isolate the fluid system completely before disassembling any valve, fitting, or pump housing. Inspect the O-ring groove for scoring or debris before seating the new seal. Avoid using sharp tools that could puncture or nick the PTFE encapsulation layer, as breaches in the outer shell compromise chemical resistance.
