The VALUE COLLECTION TEV80119 is a Dash 119 O-ring constructed with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) FEP encapsulation over a Viton or silicone elastomer core. The encapsulation is seamless and uniform, fully enclosing the core material to combine the chemical and temperature resistance of solid PTFE with the elasticity and recovery properties of the elastomer beneath. With an inside diameter of 0.924 inches, an outside diameter of 1.125 inches, and a cross-section thickness of 0.0937 inches, this round-cross-section ring is suited for static and dynamic sealing applications in demanding fluid and chemical environments. A hardness rating of 80 Shore A classifies it in the hard range. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance technicians typically specify this type of seal where standard rubber O-rings would degrade from chemical exposure.
This O-ring is used in systems where aggressive chemicals, high temperatures, or stringent cleanliness requirements rule out standard elastomer seals. The temperature range of -75 degrees F to 400 degrees F makes it appropriate for both cryogenic-adjacent and high-heat service. Typical installation scenarios include pump seals, valve stems, fittings, and fluid handling connections in plumbing, HVAC, chemical processing, and industrial maintenance applications. It is sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of one unit.
Designed as a standard Dash 119 O-ring replacement for any groove or fitting machined to Dash 119 dimensions, including applications requiring PTFE-encapsulated or FEP-encapsulated seals in chemical, plumbing, or HVAC fluid systems.
Shut down system pressure and drain or isolate the fluid circuit before removing the old seal. Inspect the groove for nicks, corrosion, or debris that could compromise the new seal surface. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants on PTFE-encapsulated O-rings; consult the system manufacturer for approved assembly lubricants compatible with PTFE. Installation should be performed by a licensed technician familiar with the applicable system type and relevant codes such as IPC or IFGC where gas or pressurized fluid systems are involved.
