The VALUE COLLECTION TEV80114 is a PTFE-encapsulated Viton o-ring designed for fluid and gas sealing applications across plumbing, HVAC, and industrial systems. The encapsulated construction pairs a Viton elastomer core with a polytetrafluoroethylene outer layer, delivering broad chemical resistance alongside reliable elasticity. The ring measures 0.625 inches inside diameter, 0.813 inches outside diameter, and 0.094 inches thick, conforming to Dash 114 dimensional standards. Its round cross section seats predictably in standard o-ring grooves. Rated from -75 degrees F to 400 degrees F, this seal handles both cryogenic and high-heat service conditions. Hardness is rated at 80 Shore A, placing it in the hard category for positive compression under pressure.
This o-ring is suited for use in high-temperature or chemically aggressive service environments where standard nitrile or neoprene seals would degrade. Typical applications include refrigerant service fittings, chemical fluid lines, steam-adjacent piping, and high-temperature hydraulic connections in residential and commercial systems. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals install this type of seal during valve rebuilds, fitting replacements, and pump service. Sold individually, it is appropriate for single-unit repair work.
Designed as a Dash 114 standard o-ring replacement suitable for any groove or fitting specified to Dash 114 dimensions in HVAC, plumbing, and fluid-handling applications where PTFE-encapsulated Viton material is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified maintenance professional. Shut off all fluid supply and relieve system pressure before removing the existing seal. Inspect the groove for nicks or scoring that could prevent a proper seal. Avoid using sharp tools that may cut or nick the PTFE jacket during installation, as surface damage will compromise the seal integrity.
