The VALUE COLLECTION TES70213 is a Dash 213 PTFE-encapsulated silicone o-ring designed for demanding sealing applications across plumbing, HVAC, chemical processing, and fluid-handling systems. It features a seamless, uniform FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) Teflon encapsulation that completely encloses a silicone elastomer core. This construction delivers the chemical and temperature resistance of solid PTFE while retaining the elasticity and recovery properties of silicone. The o-ring measures 15/16 inches inner diameter, 1-3/16 inches outer diameter, and 1/8 inches thick with a round cross section. Hardness is rated at 70 Shore, placing it in the hard range. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this type of seal in systems where standard elastomer o-rings would degrade under aggressive chemical exposure or wide thermal cycling.
This o-ring is suited for use in residential and commercial fluid-handling assemblies, valve bodies, pumps, fittings, and process equipment where contact with corrosive media, solvents, or extreme temperatures is a concern. The operating temperature range spans -75 degrees F to 400 degrees F, making it appropriate for both low-temperature refrigerant service and high-temperature process lines. It is sold individually and is compatible with standard Dash 213 groove profiles per industry dimensional standards.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for any application requiring a Dash 213 o-ring groove profile with a 15/16 inches ID, 1-3/16 inches OD, and 1/8 inches cross-section thickness.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician. De-pressurize and isolate the system fully before removing any existing seals or disassembling fittings. Inspect the groove for nicks, burrs, or corrosion before seating the o-ring. Avoid twisting or overstretching the encapsulation during installation, as damage to the FEP layer will compromise chemical resistance and seal integrity.
