The VALUE COLLECTION TES70212 is a Dash 212 PTFE-encapsulated silicone o-ring engineered for demanding fluid and gas sealing applications. It features a seamless, uniform FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) Teflon encapsulation that completely encloses a silicone elastomer core. This construction delivers the broad chemical resistance of solid PTFE combined with the elasticity and recovery properties of silicone. The round cross section measures 0.875 inches inside diameter, 1.125 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick. It carries a hard durometer rating of 70 and is rated from -75 degrees F to 400 degrees F, making it suitable for high-temperature and chemically aggressive service environments.
This o-ring is used in static and dynamic sealing applications across HVAC, plumbing, chemical processing, and industrial fluid systems. It is well-suited for use with corrosive media, high-temperature steam lines, aggressive solvents, and acidic or alkaline fluids where standard nitrile or EPDM o-rings would degrade. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals install this type of seal in valve bodies, pump housings, fittings, and flanged connections that require both chemical inertness and reliable compression set recovery.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement o-ring for applications requiring a Dash 212 PTFE-encapsulated silicone seal in valve assemblies, pump housings, fittings, and flanged connections.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial maintenance technicians. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing any o-ring seal. Inspect the seating groove for burrs, scoring, or contamination prior to installation, as surface defects will compromise the seal. Avoid using petroleum-based lubricants on PTFE-encapsulated o-rings; use only lubricants confirmed compatible with PTFE and silicone materials.
