The VALUE COLLECTION TES70120 is a Dash 120 PTFE-encapsulated silicone O-ring designed for demanding sealing applications across plumbing, HVAC, and industrial fluid-handling systems. It features a round cross section with a 1.000 inch inside diameter, a 1.188 inch outside diameter, and a 3/32 inch (0.0937 inch) wall thickness. The outer shell is a seamless, uniform FEP Teflon encapsulation that completely encloses a silicone elastomer core, combining the chemical and temperature resistance of solid PTFE with the elasticity and recovery of silicone. Licensed trades including plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial mechanics rely on this style of O-ring where aggressive fluids or wide temperature swings would degrade standard elastomers.
This O-ring is suited for static and dynamic sealing in systems that cycle across a broad temperature range, rated from -75 degrees F to 400 degrees F. Typical install scenarios include pump housings, valve stems, fluid connectors, and threaded fittings in residential and commercial plumbing or refrigeration lines where chemical compatibility is a priority. The hard durometer rating (Shore 70) provides dimensional stability under compression in metal-to-metal groove applications. Each unit is sold individually.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or maintenance seal for standard Dash 120 O-ring grooves in plumbing valves, pump assemblies, refrigeration fittings, and fluid-handling equipment requiring PTFE-level chemical resistance.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified mechanics as part of valve, pump, or fitting service. Shut off and depressurize the system completely and relieve any residual fluid pressure before removing the old seal. Clean the groove and mating surfaces of debris or old sealant before seating the new O-ring. Avoid twisting or overstretching the encapsulated shell during installation, as damage to the FEP layer compromises chemical resistance.
