The VALUE COLLECTION TCN50327C is a solid carbide turning insert with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. It features a triangular insert shape with a 60-degree included angle, a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch corner radius. The TPGC insert style provides positive side clearance and an 11-degree relief angle, reducing cutting forces and improving surface finish on a range of workpiece materials. Machinists and toolroom technicians use this insert for general-purpose metal cutting where a TiN-coated carbide grade delivers consistent tool life.
This insert is suited for turning operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials, as indicated by the primary workpiece material codes M and P. Typical applications include finish and semi-finish turning on lathes in job shop, production machining, and maintenance environments. The screw-type holding method is compatible with standard TPGC-style insert toolholders. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use in TPGC-style screw-clamp turning toolholders. Compatible with applications targeting primary workpiece material codes M and P as indicated by the manufacturer. Verify toolholder seat geometry and insert size code 322 before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and the spindle locked before seating or indexing the insert. Use the correct torque driver or hex key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when tightening the clamping screw to avoid cracking the carbide substrate. Inspect the insert pocket for debris or damage before seating a new insert. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine tool manufacturer guidelines when indexing or replacing inserts.
