The VALUE COLLECTION SWC0890CO is a double angle milling cutter designed for precision angular milling operations in metalworking applications. Built from cobalt high-speed steel, this cutter handles harder workpiece materials and higher cutting temperatures than standard HSS tooling. The included angle measures 90 degrees, the cutting diameter is 1 inch, and the cutting width is 3/8 inch. A 1/2-inch straight shank connects to standard end mill holders or collet chucks. The bright, uncoated finish is typical for cobalt tooling intended for regrinding. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians install this cutter on manual or CNC milling machines for chamfering, dovetail preparation, and angular groove milling.
This double angle cutter suits job shop, production, and maintenance machining environments where angular profile milling is required. It is well suited for cutting symmetrical V-grooves, chamfers, and serrations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The 90-degree included angle is a common geometry for chamfer work and dovetail slide preparation. The 1/2-inch shank fits standard R8, ER collet, and end mill holder tooling systems found on Bridgeport-style knee mills and comparable CNC machining centers.
Designed for use with standard milling machine toolholders accepting a 1/2-inch straight shank, including R8 collets, ER collet chucks, and end mill holders on vertical knee mills and CNC machining centers.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the 1/2-inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the drawbar or clamping nut to the machine manufacturer's specification. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the power is locked out before changing tooling. Inspect the cutter for chipped or worn edges before each use, and verify workpiece fixturing is rigid to prevent chatter at the angular cutting edge.
