The VALUE COLLECTION ST0730056 is a bridge reamer designed to enlarge and align drilled holes in structural steel fabrication, bridge construction, and heavy industrial metalworking applications. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, this reamer features a 7/8 inch diameter, a left hand spiral with right hand cut, and five flutes that produce a smooth, accurate bore. The 7-3/8 inch flute length and 12 inch overall length give it reach for deep-hole applications. The No. 3 Morse taper shank seats directly into compatible drill presses, magnetic drills, and drill motors without a separate chuck.
Bridge reamers are standard tooling in structural steel shops, ironworking, and heavy equipment repair where bolt holes must be brought to precise diameter and alignment. This model is suited for reaming through multiple layers of steel plate or misaligned bolt holes on structural connections. The left hand spiral pushes chips down and out of the hole during right hand cutting, keeping the flutes clear in blind or deep-hole conditions. It is typically run at controlled spindle speeds with cutting fluid applied to the work surface to extend tool life and achieve proper hole finish.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling choice for drill presses, magnetic drills, and drill motors equipped with a No. 3 Morse taper (3MT) socket.
Bridge reamers are installed and operated by machinists, ironworkers, and tool-and-die professionals. Before mounting, confirm the spindle or adapter accepts a No. 3 Morse taper and that the taper bore and shank are clean and free of chips or burrs. Power down and lock out the machine before seating or removing the shank. Apply cutting fluid to both the reamer and workpiece during operation, and never exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended spindle speed for the workpiece material.
