The VALUE COLLECTION ST0730052 is a bridge reamer designed for enlarging and aligning holes in structural steel, fabrication work, and heavy metalworking applications. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, it delivers reliable cutting performance across a range of ferrous materials. The reamer measures 13/16 inch (0.8125 inch) in diameter with a 7-3/8 inch flute length and a 12-inch overall length. It features a 5-flute, left-hand spiral configuration with a right-hand cutting direction, which helps pull chips away from the workpiece during operation. The shank is a No. 3 Morse Taper (3MT) for secure seating in compatible machine spindles and drill presses.
Bridge reamers are a standard tool in structural steel erection, ironworking, and metal fabrication shops. This reamer is suited for job-site and shop use where holes in mating steel members need to be aligned and brought to final size before bolting. The 3MT Morse taper shank allows it to seat directly in drill presses, magnetic drills, and portable drilling equipment equipped with a matching taper socket. The small end diameter of 35/64 inch provides a lead-in that helps locate the tool in partially aligned holes before full engagement.
Designed for use in drill presses, magnetic base drills, and portable drilling equipment fitted with a No. 3 Morse Taper socket. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or direct procurement bridge reamer for structural steel and fabrication applications.
Bridge reamers are typically operated by ironworkers, structural fabricators, and machinists. Before mounting, ensure the machine spindle and 3MT shank are clean and free of chips or burrs that could affect seating. Secure the taper fully before applying cutting load, and use appropriate cutting fluid for the material being reamed to extend tool life and maintain hole quality. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine guarding requirements when operating rotating tooling.
