The VALUE COLLECTION ST0640156 is a bridge reamer designed to enlarge and align drilled or punched holes in structural steel, plate, and fabricated assemblies. Built from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it measures 1.875 inches in diameter with a 7-3/8 inch flute length and a 13 inch overall length. The 4MT Morse taper shank seats into a compatible taper socket on a drill press, magnetic drill, or reaming machine, transmitting torque without slippage. With five straight flutes and a right-hand cut, it produces a clean, dimensionally accurate hole suited to pin, bolt, and rivet fitment in heavy fabrication work.
This bridge reamer is used in structural steel erection, bridge construction, heavy equipment fabrication, and ironwork where bolt holes must be brought into precise alignment before fastener installation. The 1-1/4 inch small end diameter and straight flute geometry allow the tool to enter a slightly undersized or misaligned hole and progressively guide itself to full diameter. Ironworkers, boilermakers, and structural fabricators typically use this reamer when hole alignment across multiple members requires correction prior to bolting.
Designed for use with drill presses, magnetic drills, and reaming machines equipped with a No. 4 Morse taper socket. Suitable for enlarging and aligning holes in structural steel, plate steel, and fabricated assemblies where bolt or pin fitment is required.
This tool is installed and operated by ironworkers, boilermakers, or structural fabricators using equipment rated for the tool diameter and material. Secure the Morse taper shank fully into the machine spindle socket before operation, and verify the drawbar or drift-key retention is engaged to prevent ejection under load. Always apply a suitable cutting fluid to the flutes during reaming to reduce heat buildup and extend tool life. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and cut-resistant gloves when handling or changing the reamer.
