The VALUE COLLECTION ST0640116 is a bridge reamer designed to enlarge and align pre-drilled holes in structural steel, fabrication work, and heavy ironwork applications. Built from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this reamer measures 1-1/4 inches in diameter with a 13-inch overall length and a 7-3/8-inch flute length. The 4MT Morse taper shank seats securely in compatible drill press quills or magnetic drill motors, providing the rigidity needed to hold tight tolerances when reaming through thick structural members. Machinists, ironworkers, and fabricators rely on this tool when bridge pinning, beam alignment, or structural bolt-hole sizing is required.
This bridge reamer is suited for use in structural steel fabrication shops, ironwork job sites, and heavy manufacturing environments. The straight, five-flute geometry with a right-hand cut provides smooth material removal and consistent hole finish when working through mild steel, structural plate, and similar ferrous materials. The 63/64-inch small end diameter allows the tool to enter partially drilled or punched holes and walk to final diameter without requiring a pilot drill of the exact finished size. It is a standard tool for crews aligning bolt holes in beam-to-column connections and similar structural assemblies.
Designed for use with machine spindles and drill press quills that accept a No. 4 Morse taper shank. Suitable for structural steel reaming applications where a 1-1/4 inch finished hole diameter is required.
Bridge reamers are installed and operated by machinists, ironworkers, or fabricators using drill presses, magnetic base drills, or radial arm drills equipped with a matching Morse taper socket. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and de-energized before seating or removing the taper shank. Use an appropriate drift key and drift slot to safely eject the taper shank — never strike the reamer body directly. Apply cutting fluid rated for ferrous metals to reduce heat buildup and extend tool life during the reaming pass.
