The VALUE COLLECTION ST0630104 is a bridge reamer designed to enlarge and align drilled holes in structural steel, fabricated assemblies, and heavy metal components. Built from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this reamer measures 1-1/16 inches in diameter with a 7-3/8 inch flute length and a 12 inch overall length. The 3 Morse taper shank mounts directly into compatible taper-socket machines or drill press spindles. With 5 straight flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, it delivers clean, precise material removal on production and field structural work. This tool is intended for use by machinists, ironworkers, and fabricators working with metal plate, beam, and structural connections.
Bridge reamers are used to true up misaligned bolt holes in steel structures, bridge construction, heavy equipment frames, and industrial fabrication. The tapered shank provides rigid tool retention in drill presses, magnetic drills, and machine spindles equipped with a 3MT socket. The straight flute geometry suits through-hole reaming in ferrous metals where chip evacuation is controlled. The 13/16 inch small-end diameter allows the tool to enter pre-drilled holes before cutting to finished size.
Designed for use in drill presses, magnetic drills, and machine spindles fitted with a Number 3 Morse taper socket. Suitable for reaming structural steel, carbon steel, and similar ferrous metals in fabrication and field erection applications.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or ironworker familiar with taper-shank tooling. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before seating or removing the taper shank. Secure the workpiece firmly before engaging the reamer to prevent movement that could damage the tool or finished bore. Use appropriate cutting fluid for ferrous metals to extend tool life and improve finish quality.
