The VALUE COLLECTION ST0230060 is a chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metal machining applications. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, this reamer delivers consistent sizing performance across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features an 8-flute, right-hand spiral configuration that promotes smooth cutting action and efficient chip evacuation. The 3MT Morse taper shank provides secure tool holding in compatible taper-socket spindles and drill press quills. With a 0.9375 inch (15/16 inch) cutting diameter and a 10 inch overall length, this reamer is suited for production and maintenance machining tasks requiring tight bore tolerances.
This chucking reamer is used in machine shop environments, maintenance facilities, and production toolrooms where reamed hole accuracy is required. The 2-5/8 inch flute length accommodates moderate depth passes in a variety of workpiece materials. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC or manual spindle operation. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals typically reach for this reamer when finishing pre-drilled or bored holes to final tolerance. It is sold individually and is suitable for both job-shop and light production use.
Designed for use in machine spindles, drill presses, and lathes equipped with a No. 3 Morse taper (3MT) socket. Suitable for finishing holes in the 0.7000 to 0.9999 inch diameter range when used as part of a standard drill-and-ream process.
Secure the Morse taper shank fully into the receiving socket before operation, ensuring the taper is clean and free of burrs or debris that could cause misalignment. Always bring the spindle to a stop before inserting or removing the reamer. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve surface finish. This tool should be installed and operated by qualified machinists familiar with reaming feeds, speeds, and safe machine operation practices.
