The VALUE COLLECTION ST0220050 is a high-speed steel (HSS) chucking reamer designed to finish-ream drilled or bored holes to a precise diameter. Built with a 25/32-inch (0.7812 inch decimal) cutting diameter and a 2 Morse taper shank, this tool mounts securely in a drill press, lathe, or milling machine spindle. The 8-flute, right-hand spiral configuration removes material efficiently while producing a smooth, accurate bore finish. Overall length is 9-1/2 inches with a 2-1/2-inch flute length. The bright, uncoated HSS construction provides reliable cutting performance across steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials.
This chucking reamer is suited for machine shop, maintenance, and production environments where hole finishing to close tolerances is required. Typical applications include reaming bearing bores, bushing seats, and precision clearance holes in metal fabrication, repair, and assembly operations. The Morse taper shank makes it compatible with any machine spindle accepting a No. 2 Morse taper socket or sleeve. It is intended for use in stationary machine tool setups rather than hand operation.
Designed for use in machine tool spindles accepting a No. 2 Morse taper (2MT) socket or reducing sleeve, including drill presses, engine lathes, and vertical milling machines configured for chucking reamer operations.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the power source is locked out before mounting or removing the reamer. Insert the Morse taper shank fully into the spindle socket and verify positive seating before engaging the drive. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material and never force a reamer through an undersized hole — the bore should be pre-drilled or bored to within the recommended stock allowance for the reamer diameter.
