The VALUE COLLECTION ST0210016 is a letter E chucking reamer designed to finish-ream holes to a precise 0.2500-inch diameter. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish, this reamer features six spiral flutes in a right-hand cutting direction for smooth, accurate material removal. The 1 Morse Taper (1MT) shank seats directly in compatible taper-shank holders and machine spindles. At 6 inches overall length with a 1-1/2-inch flute length, it is suited for moderate-depth finishing work in drill presses, lathes, and milling machines. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians use this reamer to bring drilled or bored holes to final size and finish.
This reamer is appropriate for general-purpose finish reaming in metalworking applications where a letter E or 0.2500-inch final diameter is required. Typical use cases include production machining, maintenance and repair operations, and toolroom work in both job-shop and industrial settings. It is used on ferrous and non-ferrous metals where HSS cutting performance is adequate for the material and feed rate. The right-hand spiral flute geometry helps pull chips forward and reduces chatter during the finishing pass.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard toolroom reamer for machine spindles and holders accepting a 1 Morse Taper shank, suited for drill presses, lathes, and milling machines requiring a letter E or 0.2500-inch finish diameter.
Installation and use of this reamer should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with proper speeds, feeds, and cutting fluid selection for the workpiece material. Power down and lock out the machine before seating or removing the taper shank from the spindle. Ensure the taper surfaces are clean and free of chips or burrs before seating to prevent runout. Never use a reamer to remove excessive stock — pre-drill or bore to within a few thousandths of final size before reaming.
