The VALUE COLLECTION ST0140124 is a high-speed steel (HSS) chucking reamer designed to finish-ream drilled or bored holes to a precise 1.3750-inch diameter. With a 12-inch overall length and a 3-1/4-inch straight flute section, this reamer delivers clean, accurate bores in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The 4MT Morse taper shank mounts directly into compatible taper-socket spindles on lathes and drilling machines. Ten right-hand cutting flutes distribute cutting load evenly and produce a smooth surface finish. The bright, uncoated HSS construction is well suited for general-purpose reaming at moderate speeds. Machinists and toolroom technicians working in job shops, maintenance facilities, or production environments will find this reamer a reliable standard for close-tolerance hole finishing.
This chucking reamer is intended for use in metal-cutting operations where a drilled or rough-bored hole must be brought to final diameter with tight dimensional control. The 4MT shank fits lathes and drill presses equipped with a No. 4 Morse taper spindle socket. It is appropriate for through-holes and blind holes in mild steel, cast iron, aluminum, brass, and similar machinable materials. The right-hand cutting direction and straight flute geometry make it suitable for manual-feed and power-feed applications in both production and maintenance-repair contexts.
Designed for use in lathes and drilling machines fitted with a No. 4 Morse taper spindle socket. Intended as a general-purpose chucking reamer for standard machine-shop and toolroom applications.
A licensed machinist or qualified toolroom technician should install and operate this reamer. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before seating or removing the Morse taper shank. Clean the taper socket and shank thoroughly before insertion to prevent misalignment or premature taper release during cutting. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain surface finish quality.
