The VALUE COLLECTION ST0130102 is a high-speed steel (HSS) chucking reamer designed to bring bored or drilled holes to precise finished dimensions. Built with a 3 Morse Taper (3MT) shank, it seats securely in compatible machine tapers for concentric, repeatable cuts. The reamer measures 1.0313 inches (1-1/32 inches) in diameter with a 10-flute straight-flute geometry that produces a smooth bore finish in a single pass. The bright, uncoated HSS construction handles a broad range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials at standard cutting speeds. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals reach for this style of reamer when dimensional accuracy and surface finish are both critical.
This chucking reamer is suited for use in drill presses, lathes, milling machines, and machining centers equipped with a Morse taper spindle or sleeve. It is appropriate for production and maintenance shop environments where holes in the 1-1/32 inch range require finishing to close tolerances. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand straight flutes are the conventional configuration for through-hole and blind-hole finish reaming in general machine shop work.
Designed for use in machine tool spindles and drill press chucks accepting a 3 Morse Taper (3MT) shank; compatible with standard Morse taper sleeves and adapters commonly found on lathes, drill presses, and vertical milling machines.
Chucking reamers are installed and removed by a licensed machinist or qualified tool operator — always power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the taper shank. Seat the 3MT shank fully into the spindle socket by hand, then confirm secure engagement before starting the machine. Use a cutting fluid appropriate to the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve surface finish; never run a chucking reamer dry on steel. Follow shop-specific speeds and feeds for the material being reamed — running too fast will accelerate edge wear and degrade hole finish.
