The VALUE COLLECTION SSWASHER5427 is a USS-pattern flat washer sized for 1/4 inch screws, manufactured from Grade 316 stainless steel. It features a 5/16 inch inside diameter, a 3/4 inch outside diameter, and a 0.065 inch thickness. The USS flat washer profile provides a wider bearing surface than SAE-pattern washers, distributing clamp load over a larger area. Grade 316 stainless steel offers superior corrosion resistance compared to Grade 304, making this washer well suited for wet, chemical-exposure, or marine environments. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and general tradespeople rely on this type of washer in fastener assemblies where moisture or corrosive agents are present.
This washer is used in a wide range of trade applications including plumbing fixture mounting, HVAC equipment installation, electrical enclosure assembly, pool and spa equipment mounting, and any fastened joint requiring a broad load-bearing surface on a 1/4 inch fastener. The USS flat washer pattern is a common standard in residential and light commercial construction and maintenance work. Its stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for outdoor, high-humidity, and corrosive-environment installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-use flat washer for 1/4 inch screw fastener assemblies requiring USS-pattern geometry in Grade 316 stainless steel.
Install using standard hand tools; ensure the washer seats flat against the mating surface before torquing the fastener. Power down or de-energize any equipment before working on fastened assemblies in electrical or HVAC applications. When used in plumbing applications, follow applicable IPC guidelines for fastener material compatibility with pipe and fixture materials. Do not mix stainless steel fastener hardware with dissimilar metals in wet environments to avoid galvanic corrosion.
