The VALUE COLLECTION SS6X10050-025BX is a cup point set screw manufactured to DIN 916 standards. It features a metric M10 x 1.50 thread with an overall length of 50 mm, driven by a 5 mm hex key. The cup point tip bites into the mating shaft to resist rotation and axial movement without requiring a protruding head. The fastener is machined from 18-8 austenitic stainless steel, Grade A2, which provides corrosion resistance suitable for general industrial, marine-adjacent, and food-processing-adjacent applications. Machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians typically install these in collars, hubs, pulleys, and mechanical assemblies where a flush or below-surface fastening profile is required.
This set screw is suited for use in mechanical power transmission assemblies, shaft-to-collar connections, and similar applications where a headless fastener is required. The metric thread standard and DIN 916 specification make it a direct fit for components engineered to metric fastener callouts. It is appropriate for both light industrial and precision mechanical work where corrosion resistance is a consideration and an external hex head would interfere with adjacent components or housings.
Designed as an OEM-style or replacement set screw for metric mechanical assemblies requiring a DIN 916 M10 x 1.50 cup point fastener in stainless steel construction.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using a 5 mm hex key or Allen wrench. Ensure the threaded receiving hole is clean and free of debris before driving the screw. Do not exceed the rated engagement depth of the receiving component, and verify thread fit with the mating part before final torque to avoid galling, which can occur with stainless fasteners if lubrication is not applied. A small amount of anti-seize compound is recommended to reduce the risk of thread galling during installation and future removal.
