The VALUE COLLECTION SS-TRB-MN6-FR4 is a 316 stainless steel pipe hex bushing designed to reduce a 3/8-inch male NPT fitting down to a 1/4-inch female NPT port. At 1.19 inches in length and rated to 6,200 psi, this bushing handles demanding pressure applications without sacrificing corrosion resistance. The 316 stainless steel construction provides strong resistance to chlorides and harsh process fluids. It meets ANSI B 31.1 power piping and ASME/ANSI B1.20.1 thread standards, making it suitable for regulated piping systems. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians typically install this fitting in process, utility, and mechanical piping assemblies.
This hex bushing is used wherever a threaded pipe reduction is needed between a 3/8-inch MNPT connection and a 1/4-inch FNPT port. Common applications include process fluid lines, steam and condensate systems, compressed air headers, and instrumentation takeoffs where stainless steel is specified for corrosion resistance or sanitary requirements. The hex profile allows engagement with a standard open-end or adjustable wrench, simplifying installation in tight spaces. Both residential mechanical rooms and commercial or light industrial piping systems are typical install environments.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded pipe fitting for use in any piping system requiring a 3/8-inch MNPT to 1/4-inch FNPT reducing bushing in 316 stainless steel.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes, including ANSI B 31.1 for power piping. Depressurize and isolate the piping system completely before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not over-tighten, as this can crack female-threaded ports or distort sealing surfaces.
