The VALUE COLLECTION SS-FF-FT8 is a compression tube front ferrule designed for use in high-integrity tube fitting assemblies. Machined from 316 stainless steel, this front ferrule seats against the fitting body and creates a leak-tight mechanical seal when the compression nut is tightened. It measures 0.15 inches in overall length and is sized for 1/2 inch tube outside diameter. The threaded interface follows a 3/4-20 UNF thread standard. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians install this ferrule as part of a two-ferrule compression fitting system in fluid and gas handling lines.
This ferrule is suited for residential and commercial applications where a reliable, corrosion-resistant compression connection is required. Typical installations include instrument tubing runs, process lines, hydraulic systems, and high-purity fluid circuits where 316 stainless steel is specified for chemical compatibility. It is sold individually and is intended as a replacement or spare component for two-ferrule compression fitting assemblies using 1/2 inch OD tubing. It meets multiple ASTM and DIN material and dimensional standards, making it appropriate for demanding industrial and commercial environments.
Compatible with two-ferrule compression tube fittings accepting 1/2 inch OD tubing and a 3/4-20 UNF thread standard. The Swagelok equivalent part number listed in the supplier specifications is SS-813-1. Verify fitting body and back ferrule compatibility before installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or qualified instrumentation technician familiar with compression fitting assembly procedures. Depressurize and isolate the tubing system completely before disassembling any fitting. Follow the fitting manufacturer's assembly instructions for proper ferrule orientation and nut turn specifications, as incorrect installation can result in leaks or tube damage. Applicable work should conform to relevant plumbing and piping codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping or local equivalents.
