The VALUE COLLECTION SMPPI-1002007-050B is a No. 10 pan head sheet metal screw with a Phillips drive, sold in a pack of 50. It measures 2 inches in length under the head and is manufactured from Grade 2 steel with a zinc finish for basic corrosion resistance. The Type A and Type AB point geometry allows the screw to self-pierce and thread into light-gauge sheet metal, plastic, and similar thin materials without a pre-tapped hole. These fasteners are used across HVAC, electrical, and light fabrication trades wherever quick, reliable sheet metal assembly is required.
This screw is suited for light-gauge sheet metal work in residential and commercial settings. Common applications include securing ductwork panels, electrical enclosures, junction box covers, equipment access panels, and general sheet metal fabrication. The pan head profile provides a low-profile bearing surface and works with a standard No. 2 Phillips bit driver. This pack of 50 is appropriate for single-job use or small-quantity restocking on the service truck or in the shop.
Designed as a general-purpose sheet metal screw for light-gauge sheet metal assemblies, ductwork panels, electrical enclosures, and similar applications where a No. 10 pan head Phillips fastener is specified.
Sheet metal screws are typically installed by HVAC technicians, electricians, and sheet metal mechanics. Ensure the substrate material and gauge are appropriate for a Type A or Type AB self-piercing point before driving without a pilot hole. Use a No. 2 Phillips bit to avoid cam-out and fastener head damage. Do not overtorque, as Grade 2 steel screws in thin sheet metal can strip the formed thread if excessive torque is applied.
