The VALUE COLLECTION SMPCI-1000750-100BX is a No. 10 pan head sheet metal screw designed for fastening light-gauge sheet metal, metal ductwork, electrical enclosures, and similar thin-material assemblies. Built from Grade 2 steel with a zinc finish for basic corrosion resistance, this screw features a Type AB point for reliable thread engagement in pre-punched or self-starting applications. The slotted Phillips drive accepts both flat-blade and Phillips drivers, adding flexibility in the field. Each box contains 100 screws with a measured length of 3/4 inch under the head.
These screws are a standard fastener in HVAC ductwork fabrication and installation, sheet metal fabrication shops, electrical panel and enclosure assembly, and general mechanical trade work. The pan head profile sits low against the material surface and distributes clamping load across a wide bearing area, making it suitable for thin-gauge applications where a flat or oval head is preferred. The Type AB point threads into light-gauge steel without requiring a tapped hole, which is common practice in duct connections and electrical box knockouts.
Designed as a general-purpose fastener for light-gauge sheet metal assemblies including HVAC ductwork, electrical enclosures, and mechanical equipment panels where a No. 10 pan head sheet metal screw is specified.
Sheet metal screws of this type are installed by HVAC technicians, sheet metal workers, and electricians working with light-gauge steel assemblies. Ensure the material is pre-punched or drilled to the appropriate pilot hole diameter for No. 10 Type AB screws before driving. Use a variable-speed drill or screwdriver to avoid stripping the pan head drive recess or over-driving into thin-gauge material. Deburr punched holes where possible to achieve full thread engagement and a flush seat.
