The VALUE COLLECTION SM0401220 is a chucking reamer designed to finish-ream drilled or bored holes to a precise 0.1220-inch diameter. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS), it delivers the hardness and wear resistance needed for production and maintenance reaming in metal fabrication, machining, and repair applications. The straight 4-flute geometry provides smooth cutting action and consistent chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole reaming operations. A bright, uncoated finish keeps the tool suitable for use across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. This reamer is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with drill presses, lathes, or CNC machining centers.
This chucking reamer fits standard machine tool chucks and collets via its straight-cylindrical shank. It is suited for light-to-medium production environments where hole tolerance and surface finish are critical. Typical applications include sizing holes in steel, aluminum, brass, and similar materials during part fabrication and assembly. The right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with conventional spindle rotation on standard machine tools. At 0.1220 inches diameter, it falls within the small-diameter reamer range commonly used in precision component work.
Designed as a standard chucking reamer for use in drill presses, lathes, and machining centers equipped with a chuck or collet capable of accepting a straight-cylindrical shank in the small-diameter range.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with reaming procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the reamer from the chuck or collet. Apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve finish quality. Do not exceed the recommended feed rate for the workpiece material, as overfeeding a small-diameter reamer can cause deflection or tool breakage.
