The VALUE COLLECTION SM0100007 is a high-speed steel (HSS) chucking reamer designed to finish-ream drilled or bored holes to precise tolerances. With a 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch decimal) diameter and a straight-cylindrical shank, this reamer mounts directly into a drill press chuck, lathe tailstock, or CNC turret. The four straight flutes and bright uncoated finish make it well suited for general-purpose reaming in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a smooth bore finish and tight dimensional control are required. Cutting direction is right-hand. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance technicians typically reach for this size in both production and repair applications.
This chucking reamer is used in machine shop, fabrication, and maintenance environments where a drilled hole needs to be brought to a final finish diameter of 7/64 inch. The straight-cylindrical shank allows it to seat securely in standard drill chucks without the need for a collet adapter, making it practical for both manual and CNC-assisted setups. Typical applications include pin-hole finishing, bushing installation prep, and close-tolerance bore sizing in light steel, aluminum, brass, and plastic workpieces.
Designed as a standard chucking reamer suitable for use in drill presses, engine lathes, turret lathes, and CNC turning or machining centers equipped with a standard drill chuck or collet capable of holding a straight-cylindrical shank at the appropriate diameter.
Always power down and de-energize the machine before installing or removing the reamer from the chuck or collet. Secure the shank fully and verify runout before engaging the workpiece. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the material being reamed to extend tool life and improve surface finish. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine-specific operating procedures during setup and use.
