The VALUE COLLECTION SLW-M3-316SS is a metric split lock washer designed for use with M3 fasteners in corrosion-resistant assemblies. Manufactured from 316 austenitic stainless steel to Grade A4 specification, this washer delivers reliable tension retention under vibration without a supplemental coating. The inside diameter ranges from 3.1 to 3.4mm, the maximum outside diameter is 5.8mm, and the washer measures 0.8mm thick. It conforms to DIN 127B, the standard governing metric split lock washers. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, marine service professionals, and industrial maintenance crews specify 316 SS hardware where chloride exposure or chemical environments would corrode carbon steel or lower-grade stainless fasteners.
This washer is suited for metric fastener assemblies in wet, outdoor, or chemically aggressive environments. Typical applications include pipe support brackets, equipment mounting in mechanical rooms, pool and spa equipment enclosures, and coastal or marine installations where salt exposure is a factor. The Grade A4 316 stainless designation makes it appropriate for food-service, pharmaceutical, and chemical processing environments as well. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 200 pieces, making it practical for bulk hardware replenishment on service vehicles or in shop inventory.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or stock component for M3 metric fastener assemblies requiring DIN 127B split lock washers in 316 stainless steel.
Split lock washers are installed by placing the washer over the fastener shank before threading into the mating material. Ensure the mating surface and fastener are clean and free of debris before assembly. Do not mix stainless steel hardware with carbon steel fasteners in the same joint, as galvanic corrosion can compromise the connection over time. Follow applicable mechanical and equipment codes for torque and fastener specifications relevant to the assembly.
