The VALUE COLLECTION SHHI0-800370US-050B is a No. 11 sheet metal screw designed for fast, secure fastening in light-gauge sheet metal, metal ductwork, and similar thin-material applications. It features a hex head with a hex drive, allowing installation with a nut driver or hex-bit driver for high torque without cam-out. The point type is Type AB, a coarse-thread design that self-starts in pre-pierced or pre-drilled sheet metal without requiring a separate tapping step. The 0.375-inch length under head keeps the fastener profile low while delivering a reliable grip. Each screw is Grade 2 steel with a zinc finish for basic corrosion resistance in dry to mildly humid environments.
This screw is suited for residential and light commercial work where sheet metal panels, HVAC ductwork, electrical enclosures, or metal framing components need to be joined or secured. HVAC technicians commonly use Type AB hex-head screws to fasten duct sections, access panels, and sheet metal collars. Electricians and general tradespeople also reach for this fastener when assembling or securing light-gauge metal enclosures and brackets. Sold in a minimum order quantity of 50 pieces per order.
Designed as a standard No. 11 Type AB sheet metal screw suitable for light-gauge steel panels, HVAC ductwork, metal enclosures, and similar thin-metal assemblies where a hex-head hex-drive fastener is specified.
Installation is performed with a nut driver or hex-bit driver sized to the hex head. Ensure the receiving material is pre-pierced or pre-drilled to the correct pilot hole diameter for a No. 11 Type AB screw before driving. Do not overdrive — excess torque can strip the thread engagement in light-gauge material or deform the panel. Follow applicable codes such as the SMACNA duct construction standards or NEC enclosure fastening requirements as relevant to the application.
