The VALUE COLLECTION SC2082100 is a single-end, 6-flute countersink designed for right-hand cutting in a wide range of metalworking and fabrication applications. Machined from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it features an 82-degree included angle and a 1-inch head diameter. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.5 inches in diameter and 1.3125 inches in length, providing secure chuck engagement in standard drill presses, milling machines, and hand-held power tools. No pilot is included, and the tool is sold as a single unit. Machinists and fabricators use this countersink to deburr holes and prepare seats for flat-head fasteners in steel, aluminum, and similar materials.
This countersink is suited for production and maintenance environments where consistent chamfer geometry is required. The 82-degree included angle matches the seating specification for many flat-head machine screws and aerospace fasteners used in North American manufacturing. The 6-flute geometry distributes cutting load evenly, reducing chatter on both manual and CNC-style setups. It is appropriate for use in general machine shops, sheet-metal fabrication, HVAC equipment assembly, electrical panel work, and similar trade applications where a clean, accurate countersink is needed before fastener installation.
Designed as a general-purpose countersink compatible with standard drill press chucks, milling machine collets, and hand-held power tool chucks accepting a 0.5-inch straight shank.
This tool is installed and removed by a qualified machinist or fabricator using a standard chuck key or collet wrench. Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation and verify that the workpiece is clamped or fixtured to prevent movement. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when countersinking ferrous materials to extend tool life. Always power down and de-energize the machine spindle completely before changing or inspecting the tool.
