The VALUE COLLECTION SC1060132 is a single-flute, high-speed steel countersink designed for producing clean, accurate 60-degree countersunk holes in metal and other machinable materials. With a 1-1/2 inch head diameter and a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank, this tool mounts directly into standard drill chucks or collet holders. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the tool surface true to dimension without the added thickness of a coating layer. Right-hand cutting direction means it runs with conventional drill press or CNC spindle rotation. Machinists and toolroom technicians reach for this style of countersink when preparing holes for flat-head fasteners, deburring bored edges, or chamfering entry points on precision workpieces.
This countersink is suited for use in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance environments where 60-degree included-angle chamfers are required. Its single-flute geometry produces a smooth finish on the countersunk surface and reduces chatter compared to multi-flute designs at similar feed rates. The straight-cylindrical shank allows it to seat securely in a standard drill chuck without requiring a dedicated holder. It is well-suited for both manual drill press operation and CNC applications where tool-path repeatability is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style single-flute countersink for use in drill presses, manual mills, and CNC machining centers equipped with a chuck or collet capable of accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tool-and-die technician. Secure the 3/4 inch shank firmly in the chuck or collet before use and verify zero runout to protect both the tool and the workpiece. Reduce spindle speed relative to twist-drill recommendations for the same material, as countersinks are sensitive to chatter at high RPM. Always bring the spindle to a full stop before measuring hole depth or adjusting the tool.
