The VALUE COLLECTION SC1060100 is a single-flute, high-speed steel countersink designed for creating clean, accurately angled entry recesses in metal and other materials. Built with a 60-degree included angle and a 30-degree centerline angle, it produces the precise chamfer geometry required for flathead fastener seating and deburring operations. The 1/2-inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet holders. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for general-purpose countersinking where coating is not required. At 0.31 pounds, this is a lightweight, single-end tool suited to bench drill presses and hand-held drilling equipment used by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance trades.
This countersink is applied in metal fabrication, maintenance repair, and light manufacturing environments where flathead screws or bolts must seat flush with or below the workpiece surface. It is suited for use in ferrous and non-ferrous metals in residential maintenance and light commercial fabrication contexts. The 1-inch head diameter provides adequate coverage for standard countersunk fastener sizes used across these applications. No pilot is included, so operator alignment control or a drill guide is standard practice on this style of tool.
Designed as a general-purpose countersink for use in standard drill presses, CNC machines, and handheld drilling equipment accepting a 1/2-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use of this countersink should be performed by machinists or qualified tradespeople familiar with rotating cutting tools. Secure the workpiece firmly before operation and ensure the chuck or collet is properly tightened on the 1/2-inch shank before powering the machine. Operate at speeds appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter — consult standard machining speed-and-feed references for high-speed steel countersinks. Inspect the cutting edge before each use and do not use a tool with visible chipping or damage.
