The VALUE COLLECTION S92D48R is a one-way manual ball valve designed for shutoff and flow-control service in plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial piping systems. Built with a brass body and stainless steel trim, it handles the mechanical demands of frequent cycling in both residential and commercial installations. The full-port design minimizes pressure drop across the valve, keeping flow rates consistent with the upstream pipe. A lever handle provides a clear open/closed visual indicator and fast quarter-turn actuation. At 0.483 pounds, the valve is compact and easy to work into tight spaces. FNPT x FNPT end connections on both sides accept standard threaded pipe without adapters.
This valve fits applications where a reliable manual isolation point is needed on a half-inch threaded line. Typical installations include domestic water supply branch lines, hydronic heating circuits, refrigerant-adjacent liquid lines, pool and spa equipment isolation, and compressed-air distribution. The full-port bore is well-suited for systems where minimizing restriction is a priority. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians are the primary installers, though the straightforward threaded connection also makes it practical for commercial maintenance staff working under proper permits.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation shutoff valve for half-inch FNPT threaded piping systems in plumbing, HVAC hydronic, and light industrial applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off upstream supply pressure and depressurize the line completely before making or breaking any threaded connection. Apply thread sealant tape or approved pipe compound to the male threads of the mating fitting before threading the valve into place. Do not use the lever handle as leverage when tightening the valve body into the line.
