The VALUE COLLECTION S04185773 is a knotted cup brush designed for aggressive surface preparation on metal, weld seams, and fabricated components. Built with steel wire at 0.0314 inches in diameter, it delivers coarse cutting action suited for removing rust, mill scale, weld slag, and heavy coatings. The brush mounts via a threaded 5/8-11 arbor hole, making it compatible with standard angle grinders and bench grinders. At a maximum rated speed of 8,500 RPM, it handles demanding deburring and cleaning tasks in fabrication, maintenance, and industrial repair environments. Installed by metalworkers, welders, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians, this single-row cup brush covers a 4-inch working diameter for efficient coverage on flat and curved surfaces.
This cup brush is suited for use in metalworking shops, pipeline maintenance, structural steel fabrication, and general industrial maintenance. It performs well on ferrous metals where coarse surface conditioning is required prior to welding, coating, or inspection. The 24 mm trim length provides consistent contact and wire flex during operation. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both shop and field use on angle grinders equipped with the standard 5/8-11 threaded spindle.
Designed for use with angle grinders and bench grinders equipped with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle arbor. Verify that the tool's rated RPM meets or exceeds the brush's 8,500 RPM maximum rating before mounting.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with rotary abrasive tooling. Always power down and disconnect the grinder from its power source before mounting or removing the brush. Confirm the spindle thread size is 5/8-11 and that the tool's no-load RPM does not exceed the brush's 8,500 RPM maximum rating. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves during installation and operation, and inspect the brush for wire fatigue or damage before each use.
