The VALUE COLLECTION R52001201 is a 7/16 inch external tooth lock washer manufactured from Grade 2 spring steel with a zinc-plated finish. Designed to resist loosening caused by vibration and torque, the external serrated teeth bite into both the fastener bearing surface and the mating material to maintain clamp load over time. With an inside diameter of 0.464 inches, an outside diameter of 0.76 inches, and a thickness of 0.04 inches, this washer fits standard 7/16 inch fastener assemblies. Hardness is rated at Rockwell C40-C50, providing reliable spring tension under load. Plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors commonly use external tooth lock washers in panel assemblies, equipment mounting, and conduit fittings.
This washer is suited for general industrial and trade fastening applications where vibration resistance is required. Typical uses include securing equipment panels, electrical enclosures, HVAC equipment frames, and mechanical assemblies using 7/16 inch fasteners. The zinc-plated finish provides basic corrosion resistance for indoor and light-duty applications. Grade 2 spring steel construction meets standard commercial tolerances and is appropriate for most non-critical mechanical and electrical installations.
Designed as a standard external tooth lock washer for use with 7/16 inch fasteners in general mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment assembly applications.
External tooth lock washers are installed by placing them between the fastener head and the mating surface before tightening. Ensure mating surfaces are clean and free of coatings that could reduce tooth engagement. Do not reuse lock washers that have been fully compressed, as spring tension will be lost. This fastener hardware is installed by any trade working with bolted assemblies and does not require specialized tools beyond standard hand or power fastening equipment.
