The VALUE COLLECTION R52001050 is a 1/4-20 UNC hex drive flange bolt with a 1-inch length under the head, fully threaded along the entire shank. Built from Grade 2 steel to AISI C1022 standards, it features a serrated flange that bites into the mating surface to resist loosening under vibration. The zinc-plated finish provides basic corrosion resistance for general-purpose fastening applications. The integrated flange eliminates the need for a separate washer and distributes clamping load across a wider bearing area. This fastener is installed by electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general tradespeople wherever a compact, vibration-resistant bolt connection is required.
This flange bolt is suited for light to medium-duty fastening in residential and commercial trade applications. The 1/4-20 UNC coarse thread engages quickly and holds reliably in steel, aluminum, and other common structural materials. The serrated underside of the flange locks against the workpiece surface without requiring thread-locking compound. It is appropriate for panel mounting, equipment attachment, conduit support, and similar utility fastening tasks encountered across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades.
Designed as a general-purpose 1/4-20 UNC hex drive flange bolt suitable for standard fastening applications across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical trade work wherever a 1/4-20 coarse-thread serrated flange bolt is specified.
Install with a hex key or hex bit driver sized for the drive recess. Power down or de-energize any equipment before fastening components near electrical panels or live circuits, in accordance with NEC lockout/tagout requirements. The serrated flange requires direct metal-to-metal contact to function as a locking element — do not install over paint, gaskets, or soft materials where the serrations cannot engage. Inspect the mating surface for flatness before torquing to ensure even load distribution.
