The VALUE COLLECTION PPTCIF0-600500-100BX is a 6-32 UNC thread cutting screw designed for fastening into pre-drilled or punched holes in thin metal, sheet stock, and similar materials. The pan head profile provides a broad bearing surface with a low-profile dome, and the Phillips drive allows for fast, controlled installation with standard power tools. The Type F point features cutting flutes that tap their own mating threads on the way in, eliminating the need for a separate tapping operation. Constructed from Grade 2 steel with a zinc-plated finish, these screws offer basic corrosion resistance suitable for indoor mechanical and electrical enclosure work. Each box contains 100 screws.
These screws are commonly used by electricians, HVAC technicians, and sheet metal workers for securing panels, covers, brackets, and sub-assemblies inside control cabinets, equipment enclosures, and ductwork components. The 6-32 thread size and 1/2-inch length under head make them a standard fit for light-gauge metal applications where a self-threading fastener speeds up assembly. They are well suited to residential and light commercial service work where small-quantity fastener packs are practical on a service truck or job site.
Designed as a standard 6-32 UNC thread cutting fastener compatible with light-gauge metal panels, electrical enclosures, and equipment housings that accept a pan head screw with a 1/2-inch length under head.
Installation is performed with a Phillips screwdriver or a power driver set to a low-torque clutch setting to avoid stripping the self-cut threads. Ensure the base material is properly supported and that the pilot hole diameter is appropriate for a 6-32 Type F thread cutting screw before driving. De-energize any electrical enclosure or equipment fully before accessing internal panels or fastener points. Follow applicable NEC guidelines when working inside energized enclosures during maintenance or assembly tasks.
