The VALUE COLLECTION PC44GW-65 is a push-to-connect plug fitting designed to cap and seal pneumatic or fluid tubing with a 5/16-inch inside diameter. Constructed from polyoxymethylene (POM), a dimensionally stable engineering thermoplastic, this plug resists moisture, mild chemicals, and mechanical wear. It is rated to 150 psi, making it suitable for low-to-medium pressure air and fluid lines in light industrial, HVAC, and plumbing applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and maintenance trades use push-to-connect plugs to terminate unused ports or temporarily cap active lines during service work without special tooling.
This fitting is used in applications where a tube run must be terminated cleanly and quickly. Push-to-connect design allows the fitting to grip tubing on insertion and release with a simple collar press, eliminating the need for threaded adapters, clamps, or adhesives. Typical install scenarios include capping branch lines in compressed air distribution, terminating irrigation or fluid transfer tubing, and blocking off unused ports in manifold assemblies. The POM construction makes it appropriate for indoor and protected outdoor environments where moderate chemical exposure may occur.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect plug for pneumatic and fluid tubing systems using 5/16-inch inside diameter tubing in residential and light commercial applications.
Depressurize and shut off the fluid or air supply completely before installing or removing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure tubing is cut square with no burrs or deformation at the insertion end, as irregular cuts can compromise the internal seal. This fitting is intended for installation by qualified plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical trades familiar with push-to-connect tube system requirements. Verify that operating pressure and fluid compatibility fall within the rated limits of the fitting before returning the system to service.
