The VALUE COLLECTION PC120NB-42 is a brass pipe adapter designed to connect 1/8-inch female NPT threads to 1/4-inch male NPT threads, making it a reliable transition fitting for mixed-size threaded plumbing and pneumatic systems. The nickel-plated finish provides corrosion resistance and a clean appearance suited for exposed or semi-exposed installations. Rated to 125 psi, this adapter handles typical service pressures found in residential and light commercial plumbing, compressed air, and gas-supply applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians use this fitting when reducing or expanding between common pipe sizes in tight spaces.
This adapter is appropriate for use in residential and light commercial installations where 1/8-inch and 1/4-inch NPT threaded connections must be joined inline. Common applications include instrument connections, pressure gauge ports, pneumatic control lines, water supply branches, and low-pressure gas fittings. The FNPT x MNPT configuration allows it to thread directly onto a male-threaded port while accepting a female-threaded line fitting on the opposite end.
Designed as a standard NPT thread adapter compatible with 1/8-inch female and 1/4-inch male threaded fittings used in residential and light commercial plumbing, pneumatic, and instrumentation piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) where required. Shut off water or air supply and relieve system pressure completely before removing or installing any fitting. Apply PTFE thread tape or an approved pipe thread sealant to the male threads before assembly, and tighten with an appropriately sized wrench — do not over-tighten brass fittings. Inspect the connection for leaks after restoring system pressure.
