The VALUE COLLECTION P20041 is a standard clevis pin used to create a removable pivot or hinge connection in mechanical linkage assemblies. The pin measures 0.3125 inches in diameter with an overall length of 2.25 inches and a usable length of 2.109 inches. A 0.141-inch cotter pin hole is positioned near the retaining end to accept a cotter pin or snap ring. Manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel with an uncoated finish, the P20041 resists corrosion in wet or chemically active environments. Millwrights, maintenance technicians, and fabricators install this type of pin in control linkages, clevis brackets, hydraulic cylinder mounts, and similar mechanical connections.
This clevis pin is suited for light- to medium-duty mechanical linkage applications across industrial, commercial, and trade settings. Typical installations include HVAC damper linkages, actuator rod ends, control arm brackets, and general-purpose pivot connections where a quick-release fastener is needed. The stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for outdoor, pool mechanical equipment, or corrosive-environment use where carbon steel hardware would corrode prematurely.
Designed as a standard clevis pin for use in mechanical linkage assemblies requiring a 5/16-inch pin diameter. Verify bracket bore diameter, usable length, and hole placement against the host assembly before installation.
Clevis pins are installed by maintenance technicians, millwrights, and licensed mechanical contractors. Before replacing a clevis pin in a pressurized or actuated system — such as an HVAC damper actuator or hydraulic cylinder linkage — de-energize the actuator, release any mechanical load, and lock out the system per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Always install a cotter pin, snap ring, or other positive retainer through the cotter hole after seating the pin. Do not use a pin showing visible deformation, galling, or diameter wear below the nominal dimension.
