The VALUE COLLECTION NG07120 is a galvanized steel pipe nipple designed for use in threaded piping systems across plumbing, HVAC, gas distribution, and industrial fluid-handling applications. Measuring 1-1/4 inches in nominal pipe size and 12 inches in length, this Schedule 40 nipple features NPT threads on both ends machined to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 tolerances. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance in wet or exposed installations. At 2.07 pounds, it is a standard close-fit component for connecting fittings, valves, and equipment in low- to medium-pressure piping runs.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial installations where Schedule 40 threaded steel pipe is specified. Common applications include water supply lines, natural gas and propane distribution, steam systems, compressed air, and hydronic heating. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters typically install this component when assembling or extending threaded iron pipe systems in mechanical rooms, utility spaces, and equipment connections. It conforms to multiple domestic and international standards, making it acceptable under a wide range of project specifications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard component for Schedule 40 threaded steel piping systems using 1-1/4 inch NPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and the International Plumbing Code or International Fuel Gas Code where relevant. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any threaded pipe component. Apply an appropriate pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly, and use a pipe wrench with a backup wrench on adjacent fittings to avoid stressing connected components. This nipple is not rated lead-free and should not be used in potable water systems where lead-free materials are required by code.
